Professional Biography Family & Interests
  • Shelley Frost has been a geological engineer for more than twenty years. She has experience in site characterization and regulatory compliance for industrial, commercial and residential property owners, brownfields stakeholders, and attorneys involved in litigation. Ms. Frost directs and participates in hazardous site evaluation, remediation cost analysis, geophysical site characterization, water quality monitoring and aquifer testing. Other expertise includes landfill cap and cell design, storm water drainage analysis, development of storm water pollution prevention plans, spill prevention, control and countermeasure plans and cost allocation.
  • Shelley is a community-minded, quip-loving, soil-grubbing, tree-saving (and cutting), tae kwon do artist who once won first prize in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula State Fair for her oil painting of her boyfriend’s mother’s childhood farm. Energized by that early (teenage) success, she segued into becoming a professional engineer and geologist, a mother, a deacon in the United Church of Christ, Sunday school teacher, intrepid middle school substitute teacher, town budget committee member, and loving gadfly to her two teenage sons (not all at once of course, although the motherhood and gadfly engagements continue). She’d like her epitaph to read “I TOLD you this would happen!” Before that becomes necessary, she’d love to see greater participation on the part of NH towns in managing their water resources, and is working toward that goal.
