Professional Biography Family & Interests

Karen Healey has over twenty years of progressively responsible experience managing a diverse range of functional business areas including customer service, corporate health, safety and security, procurement, human resources and bookkeeping. She provides direction and leadership to the NE2S team of professional and technical staff through effective planning, communications and organization. Her ‘hands-on’ management style and leadership approach facilitates open communication with customers, staff and the public.

A native from New Hampshire, Karen resides in Hudson on a quiet little place she likes to refer to as The Pond. Cooking, quilting, pottery, kayaking, hiking and skiing are among some of the things that occupy Karen’s “spare” time. Six years ago retiring from 15 years as a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America as town finance, cookie, camporee director and troop leader left her looking for a place to share her giving back. She found the Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester & Southern NH Hospice program had a need. She is currently on the Volunteer Advisory Council, Coordinator for the Angel Food to Go program and on the Vigil Team. “Doing hospice work is such a privilege. It is an honor to be present at this time in someone’s life, the gift is truly to the volunteer and I am blessed to be a part of it.” Her children, grown, but not far from the heart, are her greatest gift in life. She also recently became a grandmother and is enjoying watching the little ones grow along their journeys.
